Our Story

The idea behind Sweat Chemistry came from pure frustration.

Our founder, Keisha, lives in activewear. Whether she’s cycling, hitting a pilates class, tackling a multi-day hike, or just couch-lounging, she’s usually in her favorite leggings. She invests a lot in her athleisure, which made it all the more frustrating to have to toss a few items every year because they’d become worn out.

Determined not to waste any more money, Keisha tried nearly every product on the market; only to discover that most detergents damage activewear because their chemicals are too harsh on technical fabrics. The few gentler options out there simply weren’t strong enough to remove stubborn odors.

Simply put, she realized detergents weren’t made with activewear longevity in mind. That’s when Sweat Chemistry was born.
