Our detergent is built to deep-clean activewear and banish everyday sweat and bacteria — it’s all many people will ever need.

But if your gear has been holding onto odours for years, or you’re dealing with seriously extreme smells (think hockey bag-level), DETOXED AF is your reset button. It resets old or stubborn odours so your gear smells fresh again.

You can, but you don’t need to. We recommend saving it for those times when gear feels “stuck” with odour or when you’re washing older items that need a reset. Using it occasionally helps extend the lifespan of your clothes even further.

Laundry stripping is a deep-cleaning process that removes built-up detergent, oils, and bacteria by soaking clothes in a chemical mix for hours.

Using DETOXED AF as a booster is the safer go-to for deep odour removal and buildup. It gives your gear a powerful refresh right in the wash, without any risk to the fabric.

That said, stripping is still a great option for extreme situations — like older clothes with years of residue. We don’t recommend stripping your brand-new Lulus (there’s simply no need), but if you’ve got well-loved gear in desperate need of a reset, a controlled strip can be a great approach.
